Hi, I’m Andrea Atanasova, an abstract painter and illustrator from Sofia, Bulgaria.

My art is a reflection of emotions over time—each piece unfolds through an intuitive process, where I let my feelings lead the way. Some works come together in a single session, while others take months to reveal themselves. I love the mystery of creation, never quite knowing where a painting will take me.

I come from a background in theatre, but painting became my language when words felt too small. In 2018, on a whim, I took an online abstract painting course. That small decision turned into a lifelong passion—I bought supplies, started experimenting, and never stopped.

Right now, I am in an exciting phase of learning and exploration. While I’ve been painting for years, I see my work as a continuous journey—always evolving, always searching for new ways to express myself. I’m refining my craft, experimenting with different techniques, and embracing the process of growth. In 2025, I took a step further by joining an illustration program, diving deeper into storytelling through my art.

Each piece I create carries a part of me—a snapshot of a moment, a feeling, or a thought. In 2021, I embraced the vulnerability of sharing my work with the world, and now this website is my living journal—a space where I document my creative journey, share my work, and connect with others who resonate with it.
